2014
From Burundi to East Africa and Beyond
The Beginning TikMoney was founded in Burundi with a clear mission — to give local businesses access to payment technology that actually works for the East African market. We identified the gaps, built the solution, and launched our first payment gateway products.
2016
Product Expansion
With growing merchant demand, we expanded our product suite to include POS solutions, POS digitization, payment links, e-invoicing, and embedded liquidity solutions — giving businesses everything they need to manage payments end to end.
2014
First Merchants Onboarded
We signed our first merchants and began processing real transactions. The response confirmed what we believed from day one — East African businesses were hungry for a better payment solution built by people who understood their market.
2026
Still on right track
Having established a strong foundation in Burundi, TikMoney began its expansion across East Africa. Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya are next — with more markets to follow as we continue to grow.
